Submerged-Arc Final Welding Stands are used in the Two-Step Production Process for the manufacture of spiral pipes.
The pipes provisionally welded in the Spiral Pipe Forming and Tack-Welding Machine are then in the second process stage finally welded on up to five separate stands, whereas the multi-wire submerged-arc welding of the inside and outside welding seam takes place simultaneously.
The welding carried out on the Spiral Pipe Forming and Tack-Welding Machine is only a provisional welding seam, which is melted completely during the submerged-arc final welding.

Features of the Submerged-Arc Final Welding Stands
 | Exact transport of the provisionally welded spiral pipes |
| | by orthogonal conveyors |
 | Automatic tracking system with TV monitoring for the inside |
| | and outside welding heads |
 | Welding-data recording system |
 | The automatic production sequence from loading the |
| | provisionally welded pipes to the finished pipes leads to stable production conditions at a consistently good quality level. |
